This scallop seashell knob is constituted of white speckled earthenware clay. Even as the clay was once still wet, I imprinted it with my handmade scallop stamp which I carved out of clay. The intricacy of the shell is highlighted with a cobalt blue glaze, and the out of doors edge is painted with a soft turquoise blue glaze. The ceramic part is securely attached to a brushed nickel metal base which holds the screw of the knob. Fired twice in my kiln for durability. The glazes I use are lead free and non-toxic. Handmade ceramic knobs are ideal for dressers, nightstands, desks, drawers and cabinets. Use in bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, living rooms, or any room in the home!
