Early in the design process, our artisans determined that in order to build a beautiful copper sink, able to withstand the punishment of today’s kitchens, sinks should be constructed using heavy, 14-Gauge copper. Drawing on classic designs used for centuries combined with modern edging techniques, our Artisans created the industry’s first contemporary hammered copper farmhouse sink.

DESIGN: Early in the design process, our Artisans determined that in order to build a beautiful copper sink, able to withstand the punishment of today’s modern kitchen, each sink should be constructed using heavy, 14-Gauge copper. Drawing on classic designs used for centuries combined with modern finishing techniques, our Artisans selected the farmhouse look with a hammered finish to create an exquisite and durable copper farmhouse kitchen sink.
MATERIAL: Thick 14-Gauge Copper Alloy made from 99% pure copper and 1% zinc (for strength and integrity)
PRODUCTION: Using extra-thick 14-Gauge copper, each sink is T.I.G. welded using pure copper to ensure proper fusion/sealing at the corners and seams. Once formed, each sink is hand-hammered, to create an elegant, exquisite finish. Since copper is a malleable metal, the hammering process creates a stronger and more durable surface, hiding any nicks or scratches that can occur with any heavily used sink.
