This hammock is the best single layer fabric hammock available. Made of a thick, one layer tightly woven Textilene fabric. Uncommonly durable, Textilene is not only quick-drying, but also resistant to rot, mold, mildew, staining, fading, abrasion and stretching, all the while feeling smooth – and because it’s so breathable, cool – against the skin. Rust-free decorative brass grommets span 2 1/2″ apart for even distribution of fabric bed. Spreader bars are constructed of solid oak for premium durability and strength. Spreader bars are triple dipped in marine spar varnish to lengthen life. Spreader design enhances gentle swaying motion. Hammock comes complete with superior constructed hardware. Heavy-duty zinc chromate hardware resists rust. 3/16 proof coil affixes to two inch diameter ring for hanging versatility. Zinc plated eye bolt is the largest in the industry for added protection and strength. The ropes attaching the hanging hardware to the hammock bed are made from weather-tough soft-spun polyester; we precision-wind all of our own rope ourselves, to exceed even the U.S. military’s exacting specifications for strength. Hanging hardware, including chains, is zinc-plated steel, for a further boost in strength, and for heightened rust protection, while the grommets used for attaching the ropes to the hammock bed are brass-plated rolled-rim steel. As weather-hardy as Textilene, is, this hammock does contain organic wood parts, so we do still strongly advise storing it in an enclosed dry place away from harsh chemicals and foraging wildlife when it is going unused, or during lengthy stretches of bad weather, to help prolong the product’s useful life. **STAND and PILLOWS SOLD SEPARATELY**

Hammock spreader bars are solid Southern white oak that’s been hand-dipped multiple times in marine-quality varnish, to heighten the handsome hardwood’s natural honey-gold hue. The O-rings, chains, and tree hooks are ZINC PLATED STEEL. We needed to have the strength of steel and a corrosion barrier for our hardware to be safe and withstand the elements of the weather.
